I have my sympathy for you. In all this chaos, disorder and humility that your country is facing, you have the gall celebrate the so called Kashmir Solidarity Day. Is this also applicable to your illegally occupied part of Kahsmir which is crying for development and freedom is a question. Anyways, what you are doing is commendable; going around the world to beg alms for your failing country. You have started to mortgage your roads, highways, airports and parks to generate cash. As the inflation in your country touches the sky and economy takes a further nose dive, you have to visit China for more loans. The security situation is precarious, least to say. The euphoria of Taliban’s victory was short lived as the same resulted in the bouncing back of the TTP which is now targeting your Army with impunity. On the other hand, the Baloch Freedom struggle is becoming a raging inferno. While you may tweak the figures as usual, it is safe to assume that large number of your soldiers including officers have lost lives in bold attacks by the Baloch Freedom Fighters yesterday. The attacks were audacious and alarming and show that the challenge which you had underplayed has indeed achieved significant proportions. For so long, neglected Balochistan has been squeezed of its natural resources for the luxury of Punjab. While the basic rights of Balochs have long been trampled, CPEC further added to their genuine apprehension that their future had been sold to foreigners. Balochistan was recognized as an independent and sovereign state at the time of partition and later forced to become a province of Pakistan. It was never a natural part of Pakistan. On top of it was exploited unfairly by the Government hence the freedom struggle is justified.
The other worrisome development is the rise of Pashtun Nationalism. While you supported the Taliban all along so that the demands of reunification of the Pashtun Land on both sides of the whimsical Durand Line did not rise, the tide is now visibly rising against your game plan. Pashtuns on both sides of the Durand Line have never recognized it as a legal border and have been crossing over to either side as per their wish and rightly so because their kith and kin have been wrongly divided on both sides. Their demand for unification of their land is age old and genuine. Hence there is vehement opposition to the construction of fence on this border. The situation will surely snowball into a painful criticality in coming days.
In addition, there is the emboldening of TTP after Taliban’s victory. This too is clear and present danger. TTP is strengthening itself in the hinterland and in bases across the Durand Line. TTP has got inspired by the victory of Taliban and want to impose strict Sharia system in Pakistan. Then there is the rise of demands for ‘Sindhu Desh’. I mean, your hands are full and as always, your Government is trying to obfuscate facts and attempting to divert the public attention from these dangers and portraying false figures of development. Sir, inflation is not only a matter of figures which in your case has crossed the red line of 12, but it is being felt and endured by your masses every day. They have to cough up 176 Rupees for a dollar and an equal amount for a kilogram of tomatoes. The prices of household goods are touching the sky and the public anger is palpable. Internationally, the image of Pakistan is that of an epicenter of terrorism and you continue to be in the embarrassing grey list of FATF. Appointment of your ambassador is being held up due to terror links…. people do not want to fly in your national airline because your pilots were involved in mass cheating…. your airplane was impounded in a foreign country and your citizens humiliatingly de-boarded from it due to non-payment of dues…. international sports teams insultingly cancel their tours to your country…… your national assets are mortgaged in international pawn shops ….and here you are, trying to show solidarity with Kashmiris? That is a joke. When your Eastern Wing was demanding equal rights in 1971, you not only ignored the warning signs but in foolish obsession of Kashmir, lost it forever. You could not hold what was yours, in greed of what will never be. We understand that Kashmir for you is all about water security. You do not have any love for Kashmiris who you have been killing through your state sponsored terrorism.
Sir, warning signs are again being given by the Balochis, Pashtuns, Sindhis and TTP and you are still obsessed with Kashmir? Is it time again that your country will get divided? Apne ghar ki aag bhujao janab!!But sir…as always, aapne ghabrana nahin hai.
