This day in 1989 the tallest leader of the KP ( Kashmiri Pandit) community Pt Tika Lal Taploo fell victim to the terrorist’s ire. He was killed for a number of reasons, important being that he was well known and a visible leader of the beleaguered community and commanded respect from every quarter of the society.

Today, 14th September is the day in 1989, when it all began with the murder of Pandit Tikalal Taploo. His murder was followed by a systematic witch hunt of brutal torture , murder and rape of Kashmiri Pandits.
The exodus of Kashmiri Pundits involved gorging eyes of Pandit men and plucking their nails before murdering them, gang rape and then brutal murder of Kashmiri Pandit women and then cutting them into pieces ALIVE by saw machine that is used to cut wooden logs and dragging Pandit women ALIVE by tying them with rope of a Jeep on roads of Kashmir, till the roads were painted red with their blood, gunning down Kashmiri Pandit children as young as one year old, forcing Pundit women of gunned down Kashmiri Pandit men to eat blood soaked rice of their own male relatives and urinating on the wounds of dying and injured Pandit men lying on roads of Kashmir, while the crowd would clap with joy....
These are only some of the tales of shame that created such a fear among Kashmiri Pandit community along with threats of rape of their women and murder of their men blasting every night from loud speakers of mosques that forced nearly 97% of Kashmiri Hindu Pandit community to flee KASHMIR in just few months emptying Kashmir valley of its Hindu Minority (out of 77,000 Kashmiri Hindu Pundit families ONLY less than 800 remained by the end of this exodus, which also saw destruction, burning down & loot of nearly 200 Hindu temples in Kashmir and many of left over Kashmiri Pundit houses and properties.
I have talked to many prominent Shia & Sunni Ulammas from mainland India, Iran and Saudi Arabia about this and they were all in Unanmity that protection of non-Muslim minority is a sacred duty of a pious Muslim who follows Allah the almighty and his Rasool or the principles of Hussainiyat. And to break this promise to Allah can only invite his curse. And Allah's curse did fall upon us.
Why ?
Because, not only do we deny our role in the forced exodus of Kashmiri Hindu Pandit community (shamelessly calling it a "MIGRATION") but we do not even feel guilty about it and put the entire blame on someone else. I blame my FATHER'S GENERATION for this ISLAMIC SIN of committing this Islamic sacrilege / GUNAH and then not even repenting for it. I was not even born, when this INJUSTICE HAPPENED but my father's generation is responsible for not only feeding us lies to hide their own guilt but also TRANSFERRING THE ALLAH'S WRATH, CURSE & ANGER OF THIS "GUNAH-E-AZEEM" UPON FUTURE GENERATIONS OF KASHMIR.......We, the Kashmiri Muslims, who were born after this tragic sin paid the heaviest price of the shamelessness, cowardliness and Islamic religious sacrilege of our parent's generation.
Forget, everything else THIS WAS A PURELY UN-ISLAMIC ACT compounded by our continuing refusal to apologize for the same and then we wonder " Why has Kashmir been completely destroyed and ruined?" By refusing to even acknowledge the pain and suffering of our Pundit brothers, how can we expect the world to listen to our own ?
I pay my respect to the tragic memory of the murder of Pandit Tika LaL Taplooji and do Astaghfirullah on behalf of my Parent's generation.

Kashmir cannot escape the wrath and curse of Allah till our Pandit brothers are back with honour and diginity.
